An unknown genius said that “If love can’t cure, Nurses can!” and indeed, nurses have the power to save humanity which make them the super heroes. And Certified nursing Assistant or CNA are like the sidekicks of the heroes. They play an equal role in serving and saving the humanity as the Nurses themselves! So if you are striving to collect some information about CAN, you are on the correct page.
WHAT IS A CNA?
CNA or certified nursing assistant work and assist patients under the supervision of senior nurses who are called Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. The difference between CNA and Registered Nurse is that there are some procedures that cannot be carried out by CNA due to some legal reasons. But other than that, a CNA is expected to work with total honesty, ability and to carry on with perfect work etiquettes.
WHAT PLACES HELP TO BECOME A CNA?
CNA is basically a medical course therefore places affiliated with medical work will provide you with opportunities to develop into a certified nursing assistant. The Red Cross trains people for CAN courses and so do many community colleges and online schools. You may come by some opportunities provided by medical clinics that would hire new and raw people and then give them on the job training and helping them become a certified nursing assistant. But these opportunities are rare so you have to keep an eye open for that. Then there are some schools that provide the training for CNA as a course program, but you will have to do some research before opting for a school.
HOW TO GET PROPER EDUCTION
A proper CNA course takes about four to six weeks, depending on the institute you have chosen and after your course is completes you should get a license to work as a CNA in a state o your choice. As this is a medical field of study, it is going to cost you some solid thousands but there are always financial assistants and aids provided by generous people that can help you get through the monetary issues. These aids are often provided by the military, the government or even the institutes that you have applied in.

And once you have passed the test, you will become a Certified nursing assistant and will get back the value of every buck and second you spent on becoming a CNA.
WHAT DO CNAs DO?
Certified Nursing Assistants are basically the eyes and ears of their supervisors. They also help and assist patients regardless of any discriminative quality as gender, age, race or religion. They have to make sure that the correct and vital information about the conditions of the patient are being transmitted to the Registered Nurses at regular bases and all the charts and medicinal records are up to the date.
But their job doesn’t just end there. The responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant will depend on where he is working. It can be hospitals, or nursing homes or personal homes or even the adult day cares, but the common qualities that this job would require of him will be pretty much the same; being a helpful connection between the patient and the attending Registered Nurse or nurses. This may sound like an intense workload but the knowledge that you can help a human being get strong is a great motivational factor. When a dedicated CNA assists the patients, all his fatigue is washed away by the owing glances of the patients.
THE PERKS OF BEING A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT:
Once you become a CNA you will notice that the money you invested is nothing compared to the money you are going to earn. Your wage depends on your working routine as a CNA is usually receives hourly age instead of monthly. So it depends on you if you want to work steadily for 60 hours per week or you take few hours out here and there. According to a survey held in May 2008, the median wages for a CNA is $28300 annually. Another thing that can influence your wage is your location and the number of jobs available. So while registering for a state, make sure you have searched for the related statistics and are satisfied with everything. Good luck!
